Just what the Pittsburgh Steelers didn't need: Quarterback Byron Leftwich left Thursday's preseason finale with a knee injury. An MRI exam was planned to determine its severity. Leftwich was expected to be the Steelers' starter while Ben Roethlisberger is suspended. He left in the first half of an exhibition against the Carolina Panthers at Pittsburgh's Heinz Field after being felled by a teammate. Team doctors examined Leftwich on a stretcher behind the Steelers' bench, according to the Associated Press. |

Pro Football Hall of Fame QB Terry Bradshaw, who led the Pittsburgh Steelers to four Super Bowl titles, says he hopes commissioner Roger Goodell does NOT reduce Ben Roethlisberger's six-game suspension. "Going to bars -- treating women like that; oh my God," Bradshaw told the Shreveport Times. "I pray they don't cut (his suspension) to four games. I hope they leave it at six. There is no excuse for that. The egos get out of hand." |
